Software Development Engineer in TestRocket Financial is an early-stage start-up in the Financial Technology space.
Our mission is to change the way how money moves around the planet.
Primarily, we are building a Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform for those wanting to integrate into the world financial infrastructure.We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance team.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with the engineering and product team to ensure the highest quality in all our products.
This role will use your expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability in testing (manual and automated) for our products.
As a fast-growing start-up in the Fintech space, you will have significant ownership in your work and the chance to make use of diverse technologies to achieve the company objectives.This role will report to the QA Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviewing and understanding project requirements, planning test coverage, creating test cases, and executing the tests.Setting up, maintaining, and performing test automation frameworks on multiple application platforms, such as Mobile, Desktop, and Web.Participate in scrum meetings and provide testing updates.Working with the Customer Services team in validating bugs and creating bug tickets.Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.Researching testing tools, methodologies, and trends to improve on existing practices and processes.Performing final quality checks on production releases.QUALIFICATIONS:5+ years of automation-focused testing experience.Bachelor s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.Knowledge of test methodologies and their corresponding tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, REST API).Experience in using data, and statistics, to generate decisions and evaluations about product quality.Excellent programming skills.Excellent knowledge with server-side technologies: Java, Node, Spring FrameworkExperience with browser technologies JavaScript/AngularJS, HTML, CSSCloud based experience is needed (AWS, GCP)AWS data tooling is a plus, Athena, Redshift, etc.Knowledge of Kafka is a plus.Ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.*While our office is in the US, this role is open to candidates who enjoy working remotely in Brazil.
