The client is in a growth phase and requires high performing and motivated individuals to join the services teams provided by Luxoft.As a Systems Administrator at Luxoft you will be responsible for the implementation and management of our clients IT infrastructure, covering Windows, Linux and networks.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of systems and servers.Responsibilities:- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems.- Install, update, and patch server software and applications.- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system resources.- Implement security best practices to safeguard servers and network infrastructure.- Perform regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and system hardening.- Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts and access permissions.- Provide technical support to users for account-related issues.- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical data and systems.- Test backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and system availability.- Assess hardware and software requirements, research vendors, and make recommendations for procurement.- Install and configure hardware components, including servers, storage, and peripherals.- Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and policies.- Generate regular reports on system performance, capacity, and security.- Provide second-level technical support to resolve complex issues escalated from the helpdesk.- Collaborate with service desk personnel to ensure timely issue resolution.- Implement system monitoring tools and configure alerts for proactive issue identification.- Respond to and resolve critical system alerts in a timely manner.Mandatory Skills Description:Linux Administration:5+ years as a Linux System Administrator, SRE, or similar role in finance industryStrong knowledge of Linux server OS (Oracle or RedHat) system builds, maintenance (on-prem and AWS Cloud)System upgrades and improvementsGood troubleshooting skills with Linux and related softwareStrong foundation in AWS (console, CLI, main services and cloud administration)Proficiency in Git workflowGood knowledge of Bash, TerraformProficiency in automatic Linux provisioning, PuppetDocker administration (on/off prem)Monitoring tools: Nagios, LogicMonitor, Opsgenie or PagerdutyNginx, Graylog, LDAP, RedHat IDM or FreeIPA, HashiCorp Vault/ConsulProficiency in network protocols, security, and firewallsStrong cybersecurity awarenessLanguages:English: C2 Proficient
