IDTECHNOLOGY is the market leader in voting systems and e-democracy technologies.The company developed ELIGO, a feature-rich SaaS online e-voting and i-voting system capable of managing every aspect of the voting process for organizations transitioning from traditional (paper) voting to online/hybrid voting processes.
ELIGO also supports online and mixed assembly management.We are seeking a proactive and flexible Senior Software / Cryptography Engineer to join our R&D Team.
This position requires a strong passion for the cybersecurity and e-voting industry and a desire to grow professionally under the mentorship of experienced specialists.This role is part of a FAPESP-funded project.
Candidates must meet FAPESP s prerequisites for participation in funded research projects, including residency in Sao Paulo State, Brazil, and compatibility with the project s academic and technical requirements.ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will be involved in:Cryptography for E-Voting: Researching state-of-the-art cryptographic solutions.E-Voting Systems Verifiability and Auditability: Exploring the latest research and implementing advancements.Anti-Coercion Measures: Designing systems to ensure robust voter independence.Prototyping and implementing online applications compliant with advanced e-voting protocols.Enhancing our online verifiability capabilities in line with academic outcomes.Working Language: EnglishRequired SkillsBachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.5+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, secure system design, or applied cryptography.Advanced knowledge of Symmetric and Asymmetric Encryption algorithms.Experience with Homomorphic Encryption and Zero Knowledge Proof Protocols.Familiarity with Blockchain technologies.Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python).Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.Experience with Git and agile methodologies (Scrum).Residency in Sao Paulo State, Brazil (required).Preferred Skills (Optional)Experience with e-voting protocols.Knowledge of modern Java and concurrent/asynchronous programming.Familiarity with FAPESP project guidelines.Soft SkillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilities.Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.Commitment to achieving results.Flexibility and enthusiasm for tackling challenges.A mindset for acquiring new knowledge and skills.Why Join Us?Opportunity to work on an innovative project at the forefront of e-democracy.Collaboration with a team of highly experienced specialists.Engagement with state-of-the-art cryptographic research in a FAPESP-supported environment.
