Job Description: Senior Shopify Developer (Shopify Expert)We are looking for a Senior Web Developer with extensive Shopify expertise to elevate our e-commerce website performance and functionality.
This role is pivotal in driving technical innovation, ensuring site reliability, and leading development projects that enhance the customer experience.Responsibilities:- Shopify Development: Leverage advanced knowledge of Shopify Liquid, theme customization, and the Shopify ecosystem to build and maintain robust, scalable e-commerce solutions.- Site Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize website performance, including load times, mobile responsiveness, and Core Web Vitals.- Custom Shopify Solutions: Develop modular and reusable Shopify sections and components tailored to marketing campaigns and operational needs.- Technical Feature Implementation: Manage the integration and deployment of new Shopify features, third-party applications, and backend adjustments to enhance site functionality.- Site Maintenance: Handle daily site maintenance, swiftly resolve technical issues, and ensure uninterrupted site operation.- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior E-commerce Manager and other stakeholders to execute technical strategies aligned with business goals.- Analytics and Reporting: Implement and manage tracking codes (e.g., GA4, Meta Pixel) to collect actionable insights for data-driven optimizations.- Back-end Logistical work, e.g.
ensuring integrations with the warehouse is workingKey Responsibilities:- Shopify Expertise: Being the Shopify expert, ensuring best practices are followed in development and maintenance.- Performance Management: Drive technical improvements to maximize website speed and SEO- Custom Features: Maintain, and develop new Shopify-specific functionalities that align with brand objectives. - Problem Solving: Resolve complex technical challenges with innovative, scalable solutions.Key Skills and Experience:- Advanced proficiency in Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.- Deep understanding of Shopify s API, app ecosystem, and theme customization.- Proven expertise in performance optimization, including Core Web Vitals and SEO best practices.- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement innovative and scalable solutions.- Capabilities to lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.- Experience in debugging, testing, and ensuring coding best practices.- Experience with integrating apps into a Shopify theme- Hands-on experience with implementing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Meta Pixels) for tracking and reporting.
