There are 600,000+ contractors in the US who could be users of Handoff, and we re looking for teammates as passionate as we are to help us win this market.The team at Handoff is distributed across offices in Austin TX, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires, and includes talent from top technology companies such as Apple, Tesla, and WeWork.Senior React Native/React Software Engineer at HandoffYou ll play a central role in shaping the frontend experience of Handoff across mobile and web platforms.
Beyond coding, you ll be deeply invested in understanding our users and their needs, ensuring that each feature you develop contributes real value.
You ll work closely with our design and product teams to deliver high-quality, intuitive, and scalable solutions that elevate the Handoff experience.Build High-Quality User Experiences: Design and implement polished, responsive interfaces for mobile and web, with a focus on usability, speed, and performance.Lead Frontend Excellence: Serve as a primary contributor to our frontend codebase, setting high standards in code quality, testing, and scalability, and taking ownership of major features.Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product, design, engineering, and AI teams to align on requirements and ensure that our frontend solutions deliver seamless, cohesive user experiences.Mentor and Support Team Growth: Provide constructive code reviews, share knowledge, and mentor fellow engineers, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team.Drive Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and processes to improve frontend performance, efficiency, and code reliability, always with the customer experience in mind.About YouEducation: Bachelor s degree (or similar) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 7+ years in frontend development with a focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.Technical Expertise: Strong technical background in React, React Native, TypeScript, with a proven history of optimizing performance across both mobile and web platforms.Customer-Focused Mindset: You are committed to understanding user needs and using this insight to build intuitive, impactful solutions.Code Quality Advocate: You write maintainable, testable code and champion best practices in frontend development, helping raise the bar for the entire team.Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills: You are experienced in working with design and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions, with clear and proactive communication.Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, you re quick to adapt to changing priorities and balance rapid iteration with high-quality outputs.Startup Experience: Proven experience working in a startup environment is a must.Language: Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.What we offerCompetitive salary (USD)Stock optionsUnlimited PTORelocation AllowanceRegular offsites around the worldWe provide all necessary equipment - and you have the option to choose the laptop that best suits your needs If you are passionate about building exceptional user experiences and want to be part of a team that values product impact and technical excellence, we d love to hear from you Please note that we will only consider applications submitted in English.
