About the RoleThe candidate will enhance and integrate CSBR s ESG and Impact Management practice in alignment with the company s lending strategy and evolving regulations.
This role involves collaborating with various teams to develop and implement the ESG & Impact framework, processes, policies, and tools within lending operations in Brazil.
The candidate will assess prospect impact eligibility, identify ESG risks, and determine mitigation measures for the CSBR entity.
Additionally, the candidate will aid in developing and implementing impact-related initiatives and projects alongside SI and relevant teams, to further be cascaded to the Brazilian operation.
With a dotted reporting to Saison International s Head of Impact, the candidate s practice in Brazil will add to the group s commitment to embedding sustainability across all business operations and subsidiaries.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the development and implementation of CSBR s Impact and ESG management framework, processes, policies, and tools in coordination with the Head of Impact and the management team, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and sector standards;Collaborate with and train business teams at CSBR to ensure seamless integration of Impact and ESG processes and tools, from pipeline development to execution and portfolio management;Conduct thorough assessments of Impact and ESG risks within the company s portfolio and provide expert advice to business teams and portfolio companies as needed;Manage and track portfolio s Impact and ESG performance across Brazilian verticals, sourcing data from investees, addressing underperforming companies, and reporting findings accordingly;Keep CSBR s Impact and ESG methodologies updated and aligned with international standards and relevant regulations;Support Impact- and ESG-related reporting and communication efforts , in line with internal and external stakeholders requirements;Enhance CSBR s presence among impact-related initiatives and events in Brazil, promoting adherence to sector standards;Collaborate with global impact-related initiatives and projects that will be further deployed in Brazil;Support the establishment of strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, sector initiatives, and working groups as appropriate.Main RequirementsA minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in the lending/financial services sector, including fintech, impact finance, climate finance and SME finance, with at least 4 years in ESG risk and impact management, ideally in private debt;Proven ability to build and implement environmental and social management systems, develop tools, and create reporting frameworks for financial institutions;Demonstrated experience conducting ESG due diligence and risk assessments in high-risk industries for financial institutions;In-depth knowledge of and experience with IFC Performance Standards, Operating Principles for Impact Management, and GIIN IRIS+ metrics;Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage and prioritize deliverables for various stakeholders;Commitment and ability to work in a multicultural environment;Excellent oral/ written communication and presentation skills.
