Purpose / Mission of the position:Ensure the strategic and cost-effective procurement of agricultural commodities and food ingredients that meet quality and sustainability standards, supporting the continues production and innovation of consumer goods of the company.
Contribute directly to the company s supply chain efficiency, product competitiveness, and long-term value creation through strong supplier relationships, market intelligence and risk management.Responsibilities This role is responsible for leading the sourcing of over $25 million Forno de Minas commodities and ingredient spend and improve the synergies between McCain Brazil Subsidiaries.
This person supports and develops category strategies.
Leads contract negotiations and manages supplier relationship development including the key performance indicators of category versus expectations.Job ProfileEducation:Agricultural Science, Agribusiness, Engineering /or related areas.Experience:Must have a minimum of 5-7 years procurement experience in food industry commodities and ingredients Knowledge and specific abilities: knowledge of food business and commodity market dynamics.
Deep understanding of agricultural commodities and food-grade ingredients markets.
Strategic sourcing and category management expertise Strong analytical skliss for cost analysis, market trends, and risk management Fluent in EnglishProfessional Obligations: The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships.
They will lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments.
The person need act like owner with integrity and fairness in all procurement relationship and development business activitiesProfessional Responsibilities Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of agricultural commodities and food ingredients; Prepare the business award recommendations: submit the strategy of purchasing recommendation with key commercial terms, risks and opportunities; Lead the SCA Program of Category; Monitor market trends and commodity price fluctuation together with McCain s global commodities team; Responsible for category financial planning, budget and MVA management; Build supplier relationship for the relative markets to deliver value to company; Build up strong and effective relationship with McCain cross function team to deliver initiatives and savings; Collaborate with R&D, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure ingredient specification are met; Manage supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and compliance with sustainability and food safety standard.Location(s): The hiring will be done by Forno de Minas, a BU of the McCain group.Company: McCain Foods
