Job Title:Machine Learning Location: Sao Paulo, Brazil (Onsite)Duration: Long term No of years (Experience): 8-10 YearsAbout the Role:We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Machine Vision Data Operations Specialist to join our team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our Machine Vision (MV) projects by handling a variety of data-related tasks.
Your responsibilities will be split between data labeling (approximately 1/3 of the time) and more technical data operations tasks (approximately 2/3 of the time).Responsibilities: Data Labeling: Accurately and efficiently label images and video data for various machine vision tasks.
Data Curation: Clean, organize, and preprocess large datasets for use in machine learning pipelines.
This includes tasks like video scrubbing using tools like FFmpeg or image processing tools like ImageMagick, Photoshop/Gimp, etc.
Data Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate the performance of machine vision models using SQL, dashboards, and Colab notebooks.
Hyperparameter Tuning: Execute and analyze hyperparameter tuning experiments to optimize model performance.
Machine Vision Tooling: Utilize existing command-line and C++ based machine vision tools for data analysis and processing.
Data Augmentation: Explore and apply Generative AI tools and techniques to augment existing datasets and generate synthetic data.
Large Language Model (LLM) experience (Gemini, etc) a plus (prompt engineering, RAG, Chain of Thought reasoning, etc).
Experimentation and Research: Assist in conducting experiments, exploring new machine learning technologies, and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
This may include reading academic research papers, watching youtube videos, reading blogs.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documentation summarizing data analysis and experiment results.
Tool Development: Contribute to the development of internal tools and scripts for automating data operations tasks (using Python and potentially HTML/JavaScript for light front-end development in tools like Google Colab, etc).Qualifications: Essential: Strong understanding of data analysis and machine learning concepts.
Experience with data labeling for machine vision tasks.
Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools and dashboards.
Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix command-line environment (bash scripts, sed, awk, grep, tr, and similar data convenience commands for processing data in unix).
Proficient in Python for scripting and data analysis (experience with Colab notebooks is a plus).
Experience with video processing and scrubbing tools (e.g., FFmpeg).Preferred: Familiarity with C++ for running machine vision tools.
Knowledge of machine learning model training (TensorFlow experience is a plus).
Experience with Generative AI tools and/or GenAI machine learning models (training models a plus).
Basic HTML and JavaScript skills for light front-end development.
Interest in reading academic research papers and conducting experiments.
