We are looking for a full-time, remote Senior Back-End Software Engineer with 7+ years of back-end software development experience and a strong background in Node.js to join the engineering team of our U.S.

Our client has thousands (and counting) of veterinarians within its customer base today.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new applications and featuresBuild and enhance advanced applications using Node.jsCreate, publish, and consume data through clean API endpointsProvide estimates for features, bug fixes, upgrades, and new projectsParticipate in clearly and concisely documenting applications and custom-built frameworksWrite automated unit and feature tests enabling continuous delivery of your great workMaximize development efficiency by continuously discovering, evaluating, and implementing new technologiesSupport teammates with good communication and feedback during code reviewsSee the big picture and support the client s mission of facilitating better pet careRequired ExperienceExcellent English communication and interpersonal skills7+ years of engineering experience working on consumer-facing (B2C or B2B), high-volume, commercial software products and services4+ years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript (bonus)Experience with object-oriented programming patternsExperience with scaling and performance improvementKnowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational / non-relational database systemsHigh execution mindset while balancing the risk vs costs vs timelineProven history of delivering production-ready applications in a timely mannerExperience creating and consuming API s (preferably with GraphQL)Familiarity with AWS cloud services (server setup a bonus)Team player eager to learn from and mentor othersProven delivery experience in a vibrant, dynamic startup environmentA collaborative approach, a can-do attitude, and a relentless pursuit to attain goals and solve problemsTrustworthy, team-oriented, and transparentDesired ExperienceUniversity degree or relevant industry experience (optimally a technical or engineering degree)Experience with DynamoDB and ElasticsearchAdditional InformationKnowing your ideas are heard and matter think big You get to own your job and be recognized for your contributionsWork with smart and creative peopleMaking mistakes is human.
